While the world is celebrating international post day, digital communication is slowly taking over and fewer people are now writing and posting letters. In Uganda, the volume of letters handled by the post office has declined by about 30% in the last five years. CCTV'S Isabel Nakirya reports
Three women in Uganda are hoping to change the fashion industry on the continent by persuading women to wear clothes and accessories customized locally. They have brought together over twenty-five designers from different countries to design various items using traditional African fabric. CCTV's Isabel Nakirya with that report.

United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has been given two years to wind up business in Uganda. Speaking to NBS on phone, the permanent secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Patrick Mugoya confirmed the development, arguing that the Uganda Human Rights Commission has grown as an office and is able to take up the responsibility of the United Nations Office of the high commissioner for human rights;

A film for Northern Uganda highlights how the people of the region have shown resilience and risen from the ashes of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA)'s twenty year insurgency and moved towards development in the last ten years since peace returned to the region. This film is a visual showcase of the region’s economic potential aimed at generating new investments that will help revitalise the region and provide a different and better future for it. The film's development was made possible by the UNDP Uganda Country Office, the Government of Uganda - through the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) and shot by Initiatives of Change (IoFC).

St. John Ambulance is to construct a modern six story facility adjacent to its present headquarters on Buganda road in Kampala to help generate income for the health facility. The facility is good news as the space will be rented out to generate incomes to run the activities of the St. John Ambulance Uganda instead of relying on donors.
